In its report Addressing the Semantic Gap in Databases: Lazy Software and the Associative Model of Data, IDC commented:

"The LazyView product demonstrates the potential of Sentences to collect, aggregate, and compile data from disparate sources. ... The ability to capture and present complex data in a semantically clear and consistent manner makes this product attractive both in using the integrated data access features of LazyView and by storing it for repeated query and analysis on the Sentences database itself."

"Vendors offering similar DBMS products, or offering products that compete with Lazy functionality technically or conceptually, would be well advised to take this contender seriously."
