Simon Williams BSc FBCS CITP

Simon Williams is a distinguished software innovator and entrepreneur. He was founder and Chief Executive of Synon Corporation, a worldwide leader in application development technology.

Simon conceived and developed Synon/2, the market-leading application development environment for IBM's System i platform (formerly AS/400), Obsydian, an award-winning application development tool and Synon/Financials, a successful financial application package. Synon/2 and Obsydian are now distributed by CA as CA 2E and CA Plex.

After the successful acquisition of Synon, Simon conceived the Associative Model of Data, wrote his book of the same name, and founded Lazy Software to realise the vision.
